Mobile phones have different methods of capturing locations.
Common sources of location information include Global Positioning System (GPS) and location inferred from network signals. This could be your 3G/4G signal or WiFi connection too.
In general mobile phones use a combination of these but in some occasions, it could happen that in-accurate locations are captured.
So what can you do?
Although the system is not 100% failure proof and some inaccuracies could occur, there are some steps that you can take to ensure the best location:
- Always set your phone's accuracy to high accuracy, this way all possible methods of capturing location will be activated.
- Activate your GPS on your phone before Jibbling.
- Make sure you always have an internet connection when Jibbling! The networks around you will help triangulate your position.
